Andrea Dama is an Italian DJ, producer, sound designer, and label owner currently based in Barcelona, following twelve years working in Berlin’s underground electronic music scene.

His breakthrough as a producer came with the release of his debut album Emotional Tripper on the acclaimed Norwegian label Sex Tags UFO in June 2023. Co-produced with DJ Fett Burger, the album drew praise from critics and fans alike, earning “Best Album of July 2023” features from Resident Advisor and Groove Magazine, and solidifying Dama’s position as an important artist in the electronic underground.

Andrea is the co-founder of Evasione Digitale, a vinyl-only label dedicated to rediscovering and reissuing forgotten gems from the ’90s and ’00s Italian techno and progressive scene. Through carefully curated releases, the label has built a strong cult following among collectors and DJs. He also runs Protofuture, an experimental platform for his own creative output and a space for emerging artists with diverse and unconventional sounds, often releasing music on cassette.

In 2023, Andrea was awarded the Goethe-Institut’s Residencies Abroad grant and spent several months in Buenos Aires, where he collaborated with local artists to record an (as-yet unreleased) album at La Siesta del Fauno studio. During the residency, he also co-organized and performed at a live event at Fundación PROA21, a contemporary arts center in the city.

His work as a sound designer spans short films, gallery installations, and site-specific commissions. Notable projects include the exhibition Sumpf der Wunder at Kunstbrücke am Wildenbruch (supported by the Neukölln Department of Culture), and a commissioned piece for designer Joy Herro, created from field recordings of Italian artisans and presented during Milan Design Week 2023.

In parallel with his studio and artistic practice, Andrea has extensive experience teaching music production workshops in Ableton Live, offering technical insight grounded in years of hands-on creative work. In October 2025, he will begin a Master’s Degree in Music & Sound Production for Entertainment Experiences at ENTI – Universitat de Barcelona, further expanding his expertise in contemporary sound and media production.

Andrea's sound has also been shaped by his twelve years in Berlin as DJ resident of Berlin’s legendary queer party Cocktail d’Amore, and his deep passion and devotion for digging and playing records.
